Looking forward to it.

Some of you probably know that I live in the States, and that the legal drinking age in the States is 21.

It's too bad I'm friends with pretty much all underage people, living in a Freshman hall and all. I'm a first year transfer here and I got put in Onondaga Hall at Geneseo (Freshman/first year hall) and I'm pretty much the oldest non-RA in my building. In fact, I think I AM the oldest non-RA ARD, RD, etc. type person in the building.

Oh well, it'll still be a good time, and I can't complain about my friends, I really like 'em.

Oh, and I need drink ideas...cause well, I gotta do some fun stuff.

I'm thinking an Irish Carbomb is going to be included in there somewhere at some point however.

But anyway, rant aside - have fun! I'm sure whatever you do it will be aces, i spent my 21st on an all day bender in turkey!

i lived in the dorms all four years. somehow my senior year my hall was fully of a buch of floozy freshman sorority sisters...it was fabulous to legally drink in front of them & report them for drinking underage. ha ha.

you know what you should do for ur 21st? instead of getting piss drunk and ending up puking everwhere and makin an ass of yourself. you should be like "Guys, today is my 21st birthday and...I am gonna get SOOOO SOBER!" and then spend the night sober, and get hated on by everyone, and even possibly lose a friend. DO IT!!! DONT LET THEM PRESSURE U!!!!!

1 shot peach schnapps
orange juice
cranberry juice

yum!! its one of my favorite drinks, and can be made (relatively) cheaply..since you will probably already have some crappy vodka around, schnapps arent too expensive, etc.

Oh, or make some jello shots? Those are always fun... just dont eat many jello shots and THEN drink sex on the beach...they can take several hours to really hit you so be careful!

Oh, happy 21st. Of course, I was 'legal' at 18... and hell, even then, it's just a suggestion :lol:.

Hmm, drink ideas... I like rye & coke, long island ice tea (assuming it's done right), gin and tonic... Not a big fan of the citrus based ones (like sex on the beach, etc.)

Another fun thing is to just try random shots, but that's better with a group that can do so as well.

oooh if you can get the recipe for killer cool aid shots (i know it involces amaretto, vodka, cranberry and a few other things, google tells all), those are yummy. And a second vote for a long island iced tea, although I really prefer the long beach iced tea (cranberry instead of coke)..normally i go for the basics, vodka tonic, rum and coke, screwdriver, but if its a special occassion then I would def go out and splurge a bit. ask your friends to each pitch in money for it as your birthday gift so that you can buy yourself some fun ingredients that you might not normally go for :) www.webtender.com is great, you can just list the ingredients you have and it'll show you all of the recipes that use those ingredients...

Being 21 is the best thing in the world, ever. so different from being 20.....

Okay... fine.... my 21st is on the 6th, hoping it'll be good - happy nearly-birthday to you :-)

Fun cocktails... there are a ton, and some alredy mentioned... but a table full of cheap shot glasses filled with vodka went down well on my 18th :-)
