Hey People...
i just bought the pink razr from Tmobile and i have a huge problem because its making a weird noise...whenever i open the phone and i'm talking....its not static..its like a weird annoying noise.....i just got it on Saturday and its had the sound since...i took it to the tmobile by my house and they told me that its normal for it to sound that way..apparently that's how it gets its reception.....so i called the tmobile where i orginally got it from and they told me its not normal.....but now the problem is that I JUST DROPPED THE PIECE OF SHIT! It has a scratch on it...now will they still exchange it? I plan to go on thursday cuz i dont have time today nor tomorrow...It just has been a few days....what can i do?!?! help!

Hmm.. I have cingular, and I have have exchanged (as in I sent in the defective phone and they sent me a 'refurbished' one in exchange..but since yours is new they'll most likely give you a brand new one) phones 3 times in the past 2 and a half years that I have been with them. All of my phones have had normal slight wear. If it's a HUGE scratch they might think something of it.. since it's brand new. But I haven't had any problems with slight scratches.

i think most cell phone companies warranty phones for a year. bottom line your phone does not work & has not worked since you got it...they should have documented your complaint calls, so i don't see why they wouldn't give you a new phone unless you were obviously at fault...like you ran over it, dropped it in the bathtub, etc. a small scratch is not necessarily indicative of dropping it...& besides, phones get dropped all the time & live...

I know that my phone had a 30 day trial period. If there was a problem... they would either give me a brand new RAZR if the software was crappy...or I could exchange it for a totally different phone.

I know but it has a scratch...my fear is that they wont want to exchange it because it has a scratch on it....The noise was there since i bought it....

Yea. youre returning it for the noise.. not the scratch. So... whats the big deal. There isnt one. But if youre 'afraid' then... what do you want us to tell ya

The reason having a scratch might be a big deal is because they could think that the damage (noise problem) was caused by her. But, like I said.. if it's slight, it shouldn't matter.

..... or if she waits rather than finding out.... she might miss the warranty. and like I said.. mine was 30 days. Other companies has only 14 or 15 days. I dont see the big deal. take it back and find out rather than pondering about it.

my sister had a razor and the screen just went black. so she got a 2nd one and thing wouldnt charge. she ended up putting her card into an old phone and the razor sits on her desk. dumb phone.
but when she had her first replaced it was like over a month old and she had no problem. they mailed her a new one and she mailed the defected one back.

I think the pink razr is ugly. And I dropped phones countless times before. Had the battery fall off the back too. I just got rid of a phone that my dad gave me that was 5 yrs old, and the silver was all scratched off the front(an OLD Sanyo) and it still worked. That shouldn't mess up your phone but I dunno much about the Razr. Maybe its delicate(definetely overpriced!). I'm sure you can get a new one with your warranty.

They should replace it and if they don't then throw the shit fit mentioned before....they'll listen...:D

LoL...Well i like pink...sorry...you know everyone has their own favorite color...and should respect that...but anyway, i did exchange it for another one which is a lot better....i like the razr....i dont like any other phones that tmobile has...but thanx for the helps guys....

I love my Razr!! Though i will admit that i am a little upset that less than a month after I bought my black one everyone came out with colors. bah.

I have Cingular as well and unless you have insurance on the phone you won't be able to. They can be really shitty about returning phones . Take for instant when my h couldn't use his phone and i could use mine same types of phone . His was a piece of crap . Luckily we had insurance. They can be jerks when they want to be.

Ive got a black razr . No annoying noise on mine , so Im guessing the noise is a defect . they should take it back and exchange it.Good Luck
