Yeah, if they aren't completely insecure and all.

Yeah... as Gezus said if they arent insecure and have a great personality, some girls like big guys. Their size might have nothing to do with it at all. Sometimes guys are seen as the "big teddy bear" type because of their size. Hey, I've seen it happen before!

*shrug* it depend on what is meant by "Fat." A guy I had a major thing for a couple of years ago would probably have been about 250lb maybe... He had pudge, but he also played soccer, so that says something about his level of activity. Of course, he was also really smart and nice... good sense of humour too. laughed when my roommates and I stole the couch from his apartment... then the microwave... we couldn't carry the fridge, and they had padlocked the tv in by that point.... anyway...
the actual weight isn't a problem for me, but how they carry it. I weighed 200lb at one point and no one EVER guessed it was that much. As long as the weight doesn't hold you back from being active and all, it doesn't matter as much.

At the end of the day everyone has different tastes, so yeah people go for fat, thin, medium, etc. It depends on what you go for doesnt it.

I don't see somebody who's somewhat overweight as being equivalent to "fat." (But the term is relative, as you hear girls who are maybe ten pounds overweight, if that, calling themselves "fat.") Twenty, thirty pounds? Not that big a deal, and I wouldn't refer to it as "fat."
Then there are big guys who some might call fat that carry it well. I tend to wonder if that's genetic, though, as they're usually guys who've tried to lose weight by dieting and exercising and couldn't.
But the original question was about attraction, so I'll detangent for now. ;)
Just as there are men who are attracted to heavier women, the reverse is true. It really depends on the person.

And remember, there ARE people who are turned on by that. People have to get it through their heads that not EVERYONE has the exact same tastes.

Yeah, there are plenty of Chubby Chasers to go around. Some people actually prefer it to a thin person. You've heard the expression, "the bigger the cushion, the softer the pushin'", haven't you? I guess that refers to women, but it's the same principle.
I don't like "fat" guys per se, but I don't mind a little bit of chub. Actually I'd prefer that to someone who was super skinny.

er... actually i have NEVER heard that saying but it is freakin hilarious :D
one of my cousins is the living breathing version of "Baby Huey" ..... minus the completely moronic personality...... he really does look like a gigantic bear with clothes and a hat on.... and his wife.... well she just makes us all sick.... they're like night and day. he's super huge and tall and she's super skinny and short.... It really is comical, the two of them side by side. He looks like he could roll over in bed and smush her flat and not even know it... ((And the part that makes everyone sick? well she had a healthy decent sized baby and the next day she was back to wearing her old origional sized clothes.))
I also agree.... it depends how you carry it. i'm not a particular fan of it though, but then again.... i look at personality more than anything else.

I have a 42 inch waist, and a gut that sticks out noticably. My arms are flabby, face is chubby, and second chin is pronounced.
I am medically classified as obese.
Any way you slice it, I'm fat.
Yet I have THREE girlfriends. And a few others who have expressed interest in casual get-togethers.
I think that should answer your question.

The personality of someone can change your perception of what is 'attractive'. If you have an open mind, that is. You could have a guy with blonde hair/blue eyes and with six-pack abs that is conventionally attractive...but realize he's an arrogant prick. And then lose all interest cause of that.

Personally I am not attracted to overweight people, they actually tend to piss me off but that is just because I have had mostly bad experiences.

lol well the question is really, how do YOU feel about fat chicks?
There's a difference between overweight, and fat.
Overweight could just mean you're not meant to be skinny. People have different bodies, etc. As an overweight person, I'm extremely active, I like to play sports and lift weights, blah blah blah. I've accepted the fact that i'm never going to weigh 180 pounds and have a chiseled body.
Now fat, I see that as being gross. Pasty, flabby, don't give a shit about one's personal health is fat. That just kinda creeps me out, simply because it just means that person most likely spends their days inside eating cheetos and cheeseburgers while playing video games and watching t.v.

Women are the better sex by far then men because guys place way more emphasis on looks than women do.
That being said, there is a difference between being overwieght and being sloppy and disheveled looking. Being heavy or fat, is no excuse for not taking care of yourself as best you can.

Not quite true. Hair, makeup, nails, accessories, accessories for their accessories, vigorous hair removal.

And all or most of those things are done to keep up appearances for attracting men.

Good point hunny, I agree.
but the fact is that women place more emphasis on their own physical appearance (as well as other females') than men do on themselves. Personally, I think that the difference between genders there is greater than the difference in the women-men, men-women physical attraction. So to say that women are the "better sex" because they place less emphasis on looks (so that's so much more admirable) is a broad generalization. And I'm nitpicking at it because girls love hot guys ^^
