i am in the middle of a take home test and i am having such a hard problem with 4 of these questions. i looked in my notes and everything. nothing. so i've been googling for the past hour. its a long shot, but can anyone here help?

the late 19th/ early 20th century scholar who, in contrast to his earlier absolutist point of view, adopted a realivist postion in his understanding of the world religions was:
1- hengstenberg
2- barth
3- wellhausen
4- troeltsch
5- schleiermacher

budddhism adopted the following key core beliefs from hinduism, exect:
1- maya
2- anatta
3- avidya
4- karma
5- samsara

the path of karma in the gita is reflected in one of the following hindu philosophical systems:
1- vedanta
2- yoga
3- sankhya
4- mimansa
5- vaisheshika

all of the following developments originated in "classical" hinduism except:
1- temples
2- females goddesses
3- Shiva
4- Vishnu
5- Ganesha

Hmmm... Well, I feel like the class I took on Hinduism was a bit of a waste, since I dont' know any of these answers for SURE FOR SURE.

However the last one... I'd say probably female goddesses. Female goddesses were definitely around before Hinduism got going. They're seen in early Buddhist artwork. (Yakshi's, anyway. Female deities.) Temples are Hindu, as are the three gods listed...

That's ok, what you should take away from a Hinduism class (unless you're writing a thesis on it) is the core ideas and philosophies, not the names of stuff :).
