I graduated from engineering a year ago. I don't keep much in contact with the old school, but today, I picked one of their magazines...
I took a master-level class in my last undergrad year. the guy teaching it was nice, helpful... actually cared about the students.
the school had brought him all the way from Ukraine in 2002.
I just read his obituary. He was hiking in an Ontario provincial park with his son and got hit by lightning.
that... sucks.
