What is your ringtone?

i figured cell phones are a fairly common thing these days, and i'm really stoked about my zelda ringtone (yes, i know, i need a life if a ringtone makes me happy), so i was curious to what everybody else used as their ringtone(s)?

on the same topic, which ringtones just piss you right off when you hear them?

like i said before, i got the zelda theme for my ringtone now. before that, i had boulevard of broken dreams...that one seemed to bug some people.

ringtone that pisses me off: 50 cent - in Duh club. if there was ever an overplayed song that didn't deserve the airtime...

I have Basket Case by Green Day, and no, not a crappy MIDI file, an actual 20 second long MP3 clip that sounds like it came right off the CD. Of course, T Mobile has the best extra's and they have had real Mp3 ring tones for probably over a year now.

I really don't like the "Milkshake" song on someone's phone. It's irritating and it sticks in your head. *grrr*

me, i have a nokia. it's 2 years old now - need to get a new ohone. and my ringtone: the noka ring tone. it sucks when someone else uses the same ring tone b/c i fumble for my phone, only just to know that the person next to me says "hello". but, that's only happened once to me in Toronto.

I used Cool Edit Pro to work with a Ryan Farish song, If Only, and make a pretty kickass clip for a ringer.

I've had lots of MIDI ringtones, too, including the Mario Brothers theme, the Zelda 2 palace theme, Right Now by Van Halen (of course!), the Law & Order theme, and "Beautiful Day" by U2.

The beauty of having a smartphone - all this shit is FREE. :) There's something to be said for ActiveSync...

The problem with the MP3s is that on almost every phone, in fact every phone I've heard them on, it sounds like garbage. Sounds like someone is rifling through a box of legos.

My current ringtone is Kernkraft 400 - Zombie Nation. It's not one of those mp3 ringtones (although my phone does support them), it's a crappy little midi that, in my opinion, makes the ringtone that much cooler. :)

When I had my Samsung I simply used the Fur Elise...unfortunately I was in the same area at work with someone (some other employee who came for a visit I guess) who had the same phone and the same ringtone so thinking it was mine I'd reached for mine and got a dirty look from my boss...it wasn't mine because I was certain that it was on silent/vibrate but it did give me a heart attack cuz I knew it shouldn't have rung...

I also have my cell phone on vibrate so I know when its ringing...(Mmmm vibrate! lol jk jk)

Someone at work has this ringtone consisting of birds chirping. At first it's kinda soothing, but then you realize that it's just a 1 second sound clip that repeats over and over, and it just gets annoying in a "the tape is stuck" kind of way.

Just to switch it up a little: Back when I was in elementary school, they replaced the ringer with cheap ringtone kinds of things. It would play a little tune instead of ringing a bell. kinda dumb, but it works I guess. I don't miss it.

i have lots of ringtones! i love them. they're the musical ringtones (but the good sounding ones, not the one tone old ones), not the actual mp3 ones... if that made sense.

my default right now is: don't phunk with my heart (the black eyed peas). when my parents call, it's the exorcist theme song. my sister and my boyfriend both have "why not" by hilary duff when they call me, and my two best friends have "sugar, we're going down" by fallout boy. i need to dl more... i get a free dl every month and i always forget to use it :/
