It's the return of the annual What Are You Studying? thread.

Let's hear it, college/university students, undergrads and postgrads. What are you taking this autumn?

I would have started school last September but I decided to take a year off, so Im starting this year. Ill be going to college for 3 years for a diploma in Business Administration Accounting, and then to university for 2 years for a Bachelors Degree in Commerce. I could have just done the university for 4 years and gotten a commerce degree, but I decided to go to college first. Besides, then I get a diploma and a degree, and its only one extra year.

Entering my fourth and final year of an Honours Bachelor of Science degree, joint-majoring in Biology and Psychology.

I'll be doing my honours thesis this year. I plan to take next year off to decide what to do with my life, which will most probably involve more school. Options I've been thinking about recently include medicine, environmental science, and environmental law, but I've gone through many other possibilities that may yet rear their heads again.

My school goes year-round and I'm currently going for my Associates Degree in Computer Networking. I started my sophomore year about two months ago. I'm going to go on for my Bachelors Degree in Information Security.

If I had to pick over again I would have went into Biology instead. I still like my choice; I'm just more passionate about the other.

That's what my college does best, all of the money gets funnelled to the oceanography, marine science people, they even have their own seperate Bay Campus from the main college! Of course that's where I'll also be working in the fall because they have all the money lol. My history department has no funding whatsoever :P

I'm taking an intro biochem course this year, if that counts . I'm also going to be doing a pharmacology course, and my thesis will require a bit of chemistry as well, being physiology-related.

Well, at least some of you answered the question ("What are you taking this autumn?"), instead of telling us what degree you expect to have down the line. :P

I'm taking beginner's Ancient Greek for 30 ECTS (60 UK or 15 US credits), which I now see is crazy because they expect us to read Plato in original by the first week of November, and I've applied to do a an Etruscology course for half as many credits, as an "extra", but I won't know if I get in for a few more weeks.

Sorry, I was distracted.

I actually will be in Spain from October to December, doing an intensive (you guessed it) Spanish course. I'll probably also try and sign up for some local ceramics classes in Barcelona and maybe ingratiate myself with someone at the marine centre there. Um, yeah.

I was specific. Few people take their degrees in the fall. If anyone here is, that would've been a perfectly correct answer. :P

On another side note, my post above has been edited, as I finally made some decisions. I also remembered to mention my thesis this time.

I'm just not great with that kind of stuff. 3-dimensional art and me just don't get along so well. And the prospect of being mucky for an entire semester, EVERYDAY, just isn't appealing (ceramics class is first thing in the morning, and requires a LOT of work outside of class).

And I know, I know! I just haven't had much time for mah forums lately. :( I'll post some stuff soon, I hope.

URG. I spent the last 2 hours trying to fix my schedule. I need to take 15 credits and didn’t realize that aerobics was only 1 credit...silly me. So now I’m taking some anthropology class about the different races. Hmm.

I hate picking classes.

I hate studying for class.

I didn't really study anything for my major (Information Science) because I found the material to suck.

But I learn so much more when I study on my own. So I am studying some business/finance stuff, philosophy, leadership, the concept of flow, food/health, and music.

I am doing a doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering and I don't have any coursework to do. So I will do this autumn only research, advise some master's students and maybe grade some exams for my boss. Oh, and do some presentations and reports. And maintain our lab equipment.

I think we're the opposite. I like mucky 3-D things, and 2-D clean flat things don't appeal at all. :)

Sometime I'll have to take pictures of my ceramic stuff and post them on here.

Yeah, I can't wait to finally get back to school. Though I'm sure by the end of the first month I'll want a break from it.

As far as my courseload, I've got:
Organic Chemistry II (after nearly four months off from O Chem I!)
General Physics I
Russia and the USSR
Media and Society
oh, and Choir

I'm going for either a major (and thereby Bachelor's) in either chemistry or physics. The one I don't major in I'll probably minor in.

The Russia and Media classes are requirements; the later for a social science req and Russia fulfills a "global diversity" requirement. That class seems, to me at least, a little better and different than everything they try to force you into. Next semester I've got to worry about a "domestic diversity" class as well. One of the things I dislike about my college's requirements.
