Well the last favor I asked for wasnt taken so well, but Im hoping this one might get some more interest. (my old thread is here if anyone wants to try and tackle it: http://www.therfs.com/index.php?showtopic=21201)
But I have been debating starting my own business for a while now, a small consulting firm of some sort. Ive always tossed around the idea of 'Claymore Technologies'
Any thoughts on possible logos? Any ideas? I want something fairly simple that will look good on a business card and website. Thoughts?
And the only logo i have really came up with has been this one:

as far as I know... a Claymore is a type of sword. does it have any other meaning?

Not with that name. Claymore = claidheamh mór = big sword.
(yes, that's a whole lot of letters for "clay"... got to love Gaelic).

Yep. I'd clean up that 'swoosh.' Maybe learn pen tool skills, if you don't already have them?

I just didn't want something cheezy like 'Stewart Computers'.

If you keep the swoop clean it up. I personally wouldn't keep the swoop there is too many of them out there. Um.. i would also try to mess with the font a little. NEVER keep the font the same.. It's not really anything special...
Sorry if it was harsh but it doesn't look like you spent very much time on it
