Why won't it rain

I wrote this poem a while ago. Quite honestly I love it but its rather depressing.... so some of you may remember it but I tweeked it a bit. Let's just say my outlook on relationships has improved...... I don't fret about being played or being dumped after he gets what he wants so here's my new improved "Why won't it Rain" with a happy ending! :D
Why Won't It Rain
The sky forboding
Its warning glare
Lightning striking
Thundering everywhere
It's so cold
Why won't it rain
Pour from my eyes
Release this pain
The wind screams empty
Chills me through
I shiver, I shake
I long for you
The darkness engulfs
It swallows the light
Leaves me so empty
Alone in this plight
Leaves blowing violent
Attacking my soul
Why won't these thoughts
Cease swallowing me whole
The clouds don't roll by
The winds still persist
Why won't it just rain
The pain just desist
The wind cries out
The pain strikes deep
The fog won't lift
This horrible sleep
The landscape is barren
The houses shut their doors
No where to turn
To lay down these woes
Alone in this desolate place
Now I wait
Will the rain ever come
To wash off this slate
Looking in the sky
Searching for a sign
Praying for rain
To wash away this pain of mine
Then just when I give up
A new smile lights the sky
Like lightning but lasting
I've no need to cry

Yea I remember this poem, and I loved it. :) ...I like your new ending...its a real complete piece I think, full of many emotions, with powerful wording....relating your emotions to the stormy weather was what made it effective...really good poem here qtpa2t, keep writing. 8)
