That's right. Lets take our beloved Looney Tunes, and make them all dark, gothic and "edgy" - and call it modern.

Worthless twats. Bleh.

Have you seen the new Ren & Stimpy?

Horrible!

Haha..but..yeah, it's sad they're doing this to Bugs, but...I still kind of like the designs. Oh well.

As soon as I saw this thread I knew it would be abput Bugs Bunny.
I never really watched the show often, but I can say for sure I'd liek the old version better. :P

“I think the legacy is intact,” he said. “If anything, it’s an homage to the legacy instead of a destruction of the legacy.”

Um... you think wrong.

See, TINY toons was okay. had the original Loonys in it sometimes, was a good cartoon. These are jsut weird. and totally wrong. heh... and they've thrown in the "token girl"

Tiny Toons was great, but it was also in the same style as the original Looney Toons.

Did anyone notice that these new abominations are supposed to be SUPERHEROES?

That is NOT Looney Toons!

I saw this in the Wall St. Journal the other day. Didn't like the idea from the start. Tiny Toons was cool cause it followed a similar format and didn't mangle classic icons.

Hell, its only Loony Tunes, and its a spin-off, no one is going to ruin the orginals. Not something to get worked up about.

Why didn't they use the original characters and just write some new scripts with up to date material? The old cartoons were great, but the references to a young Frank Sinatra and other 1940's actors was lost on me untill I got older and realized just who they were making fun of! However, that doesn't mean they needed to screw up the old characters, just write new material.

Yeah, I saw this on Sunday Morning. What a load of crap. It seems like these people can't get it through their thick skulls that when you mess with an original, you're gonna get screwed.

The network’s animators have re-imagined Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and Wile E. Coyote as sleek new figures for a modern age.

But we don't want Bugs Bunny to look slick. He's supposed to be cute and cheeky and funny, not look intimidating. Blah. How lame. :P I did have fond memories of Tiny Toons though...And Baby Plucky. "Elevator go down the hoooooooole." :cool2:
