~Feelings of Love~


I’d imagine the feeling of love
Is absolute like a total eclipse.
For my ancient doubts are obscured
When seized and caressed by your lips.
Like a bittersweet parting through eyes
Or your lingering scent on my skin.
You depart as I’m taking you with me
I’m alone yet you’re growing within.
Understanding all the same fears
Breaking through from the outside
Two spirits drawn together
Believe I’ve got nothing to hide
So take my hand before the sunrise
I’ll lead a dance amidst the rain
We’ll rage against the dying light
And relive the day again.
Our love in perpetual bloom
Verdant hope springs anew
And I’m free to be captured
In a lifetime loving you.
