Just a pic of the moon I took last night...

Canon 20D
Takahashi 10cm f/8 apochromate telescope

at ISO 100

1/800 highlights
1/400 midtones
1/320 shadows

stacked in photoshop with an extra sharpened midtone layer, all +_ 25% opacity and tuning of levels and saturation on the final top layer.

dude... that is fucking AWESOME!!!

ah... telescope. my mom has a telephoto lens for her camera, but it still can't do ANYTHING like that.....

damn, niiiice...
i used to wanna get into it...
but then i didnt have the money for the cam and scopes... i have a telescope but its not good quality and i cant attach a cam to it. and parents didnt want me to have such an expensive hobby...

The camera is indeed a nice piece of equiment but the fact that the image was taken with $7000+ worth of optics also plays it's part in making it a damn sharp picture.

btw. I don't own the thing, I can borrow the telescope to play around with.

And, this is a great picture for testing your printer but notice that there is indeed color in the picture... I'm getting it print on A3 format one of these days.
