I have been with this girl for about 2 weeks(this time around, we dated before but this is much more serious) and I've noticed that whenever we kiss it is over before I even realize that it's begun, and the day before yesterday we were kissing, and it lasted a lot longer than usual, and so I slipped my toungue in her mouth, and she absolutly freaked, she pushed me away and told me that she had no idea how to french kiss, I then told her the truth that I had no idea how either. I'm starting to worry that I shouldn't have even tried. We talked about it later on the phone, but the conversation made her uncomfortable. She said that she wanted me to do it when I did, and that I wasn't misreading signals, but I don't know if she was just telling me what I wanted to hear.

kissing doesn't have a definded amount of time for it it depends on the people and the situation, as for just starting to french, i had one guy who tried to and i pushed him away and said i wasn't comforatbel with that yet, he tried after 2 days, my guy and i didn't french till just after a year, it depends on the people, and my guy is the only guy i've frenched, she might think she's ready before hadn then not be when it's time, just be patient w/ her.

I think this really is an issue that doesn't have a definate general average time. I mean the first kiss I ever had was with tongue, so it's completely different for everyone. And it wasn't as if I was drunk or anything and wasn't thinking, it was very very special and is still to me.

it really depends.

people can go on for hours (personally, i think that gets monotonous)

i dunno, if it's a prelude to sex, 5-10 minutes maybe?

if it's not, 15 minutes or something. i dunno
15 minutes is a long time

A kiss should last until its natural charisma is gone...and you are just plainly tired of kissing.

i don't think there is any set time. as long as it takes, i guess...

its different for each person, just wait til you sense she's ready, dont rush anything

Ya'll are right I am trying to rush things. She always says that she's ready but sometimes I don't buy it. When I think about the other day I realize that it was better to do something we both were comfortable with,(holding hands and just being close) than to try and move it foward.

You probably caught her by surprise, and she freaked. It's kind of embarrassing on her end (I should know, I did the same thing AFTER doing it a few times) and eventually she'll be okay with it. Just give it time.

i agree that you probably just surprised her.

Kisses can last for as long as the two people kissing wish them too. That can range from 5 hours to 5 seconds. Variety is the spice of life, so mix it up.

A kiss should last as long as you want it too. There's no time limit on the amount of time a kiss should last. What kind of question is that? I mean, does it really matter how long a kiss should last? the answer is no. :P [/url]
