I wrote this for Samantha. Seems kind of hopeless now, since I wrote this to her today...after we've already been broken up for over a week now...or so it seems. I still love her. I guess this poem dedicated to her, proves that still.

Where Your Love Grows by John R Morris

It came from a thought...
That turned to a dream...

It swayed without falling...
...and started to gleam...

It's passion still rising...
...from it's perfect white glow...

I thought it had withered...
...but it started to grow.

It's roots dug in deeper...
...while it's vines spread on out...

It pushed through the soil...
...and it started to sprout.

It grew to a flower...
...and started to shine.

I saw it's red color...
...and knew it was mine.

The flower then faded...
...and turned into fruit...

It's shape so convenient...
...and nothing but cute.

It smiled, then faded...
...and grew once again...

Every time that I needed...
Where, why, who, and then.

It grew without question...
...and grew without answer...

It spun, and it circled...
...like some sort of dancer...

It faded once more...
...to a tear, of pure light...

It's brightness astounding...
...as I stood there with might...

It dropped to my finger...
...then ran to my lips...

I fell to my knees...
...and felt weak in my hips.

No longer standing...
....it slipped in my mouth...

Pushed past all my teeth...
...as it went on down south.

An explosion, so warm...
...like I drank liquid fire.

I had passion, and lust...
..that was matched with desire.

It flamed, and I knew...
...what this tiny drop was...

I knew everything about it...
...and all that it does.

It was love, in a tear drop...
It was love, from your eyes.

It was love well worth growing...
...It was love that won't die.

In my heart where it burns...
...in my soul where it waits...

In a place of "forever"...
...where nothing ever "hates"

It circles around....
...and fills this divide...

This gap where my pride was...
...where others have lied.

It breaks open easy...
...all it needs is a smile.

The pains rushing back...
...as I fight with denial.

But the touch of your hand...
...and the kiss of your lips...

...it showers this darkness...
...with a bright white eclipse.

The shadows are gone...
...and the light breaks on through...

...cause of everything...lovingly...

....everything....

...you.

I love it! Much better then the last one you posted(though that one was good). The rhyming is steady throughtout the whole poem, and that and the lovely wording really grabbed me. How long have you been writing poetry? I hope that I'll be so lucky someday to receive such a romantic poem. Great job. :cool2:

I can't tell you how perfectly timed it was that I read this poem. I'm in such a romantic mood right now and this just topped it off for me. I really enjoyed it! The rhyming was great and the overall effect was very moving. I also would like to know how long you've been writing poetry?! This was excellent.
