Too soon?

If you have read my post "What do you think of me?" on Mirror, Mirror, you'll know I like this guy named Daniel. To spare you some time, I won't go into detail, and just skip to the problem. I asked him out, to which he said he didn't want a girlfriend. Then I asked him if he would want to go out with me later (*facepalm*) to which he said he just wanted to be friends. A lot of my friends say that he for some reasons acts different (in a good way I guess...) whenever he's around me, and I don't think he hates me, since I sat by him at a party. However, he had only known that I liked him for 2 weeks before I asked him out. Do you think I could have asked him out too soon? Should I ask him out again or should I just give up on him?

Yeah. Too soon. Try to wait a couple more years when he might be a little more settled down. 13-14 is a little too early to be worrying about dating and status.
