Another great enterainer is gone today.
Rodney Dangerfield passed away at the age of 82 after slipping into a coma last month. For a man who often said he got no respect, well... my hat's off to you.

Yes, RIP indeed. His legacy will forever live on in one of the greatest comedies ever made.
Oh, this is the worst-looking hat I ever saw. What, when you buy a hat like this I bet you get a free bowl of soup, huh? Oh, it looks good on you though.

Bahhh... Why does it seem as though all the great ones just keep plopping over dead.
My two favorite comedians of all time are both dead, Dangerfield, and Sam Kinison. Sure, Dangerfield lived a full life, but we were robbed of Kinison way too early.
Some great Dangerfield films....
Caddyshack
Easy Money
Back to School
Little Nicky
Moving
Meet Wally Sparks
The Godson
My 5 Wives (aka Mes cinq chéries)
The Electric Piper
and Back By Midnight
Not sure if it's out yet, or if it ever was released, but I've heard a lot about Angels with Angles.
But for some great Dangerfield material, you also gotta look beyond just Rodney Dangerfield. his first performing name was Jack Roy. There is some stuff out there under that name, but it's hard to come by.
the man was a true comedic genius. He was one of those "Everyman" comedians, almost every one could identify with what he was saying, and I think that is what made him so great.
Much respect to you Jacob Cohen, aka Jack Roy, aka Rodney Dangerfield, you were and always will be a true great. R.I.P

Even if you wernt a fan of Dangerfield, you cant help but respect some of the comedians he helped bring up through the club scene and helped 'discover'
Jim Carrey, Jerry Seinfeld, Roseanne, Tim Allen, all have said that they wouldnt be where they are if it wasnt for dangerfield, and actually Dangerfield was Carrey's 'Date' for the premier of Eternal Sunshine.
