fingers? hmm... it was never an issue for me really.. I think the guy knew I wasn't too experianced. But for some, I'm sure it can be painful. To be safe, start with one finger if u are really worried about it. (Yes I know it sounds like "one? whats that gonna do??") and then move up. if its causing her any discomfort, stop. Make sure she's turned on enough, too. It wont hurt as much if shes wet.

It all depends on whether the hyman is in tact or stretched at all. If not, it can either feel like a lot of pressure, or it can hurt.

For me it's never hurt. It's felt 'weird' the times I've bled (which is recently, after months of being fingered...when we've changed angles drastically, or stood up) but it has never particularly hurt.

I think the trick is to take it slow... one step at a time... and be very wet. :P

I can't say for ALL girls whether it's painful or not but for me I never bled the first times I got fingered, nor did I suffer much if any pain at all. Yeah, I'm sure it was "weird" as stated above sometimes but nice weird if it makes any sense. That's fingering though. I dunno, but for me, pain is always there whenever I get fingered... I dunno, it's just that maybe you're so used to fooling around alone that it doesn't hurt when you do it to yourself, but it hurts when my boyfriend does it.
