How to stop flirting

I have been told that i flirt to much. How would i stop?

like are you just generally friendly? do you over do it? i mean i've been told several times that i'm such a flirt, but the boys i flirt with don't complain so i could care less what others think. how do the girls you "flirt" with react?

hah.. flirt, if youre like me, you probably cant stop. but im the goofy type of flirt, so they always know im joking and kiddin' around. then again i only flirt with girls who i would date in the first place in case she took things the wrong way. =)
but yea, if your flirting scares girls, it probably involves too much physical contact, or too much compliments, or whatever. for me, i can almost always read a girl's reactions to what im doin'.. if she doesn't like it, i stop, simple as that.

That probably means you're too physical or aggressive in your flirting.

As for stopping completely you can't. You can't just cold turkey it. You'd last a week then be back to the same old pattern. You need to tone it down. Don't always tell girls they look beautiful / are amazing etc everytime you see them. Don't be grabby. Don't touch them all the time. If you have to sit on your hands. Just watch what you do when you're around girls and cut it back.

I agree, I think you have to learn to read the girls. If they seem very awkward around you or even tell you they dont like you being so flirtatious, then just take it down a notch. I think Barbie got this one dead on. Dont just stop, but just chill out a lil
