I think I did this a while back, and it was a big hit, so I'll do it again. Basically the premise is to build off of what the last person said. So I'll start it off with a simple introductory sentence, and the next person will contribute a sentence or two to continue the story, the person after that will do the same, and so on.
It was yet another chilly day in London while the clocks were striking 11:12 in the afternoon.

Tara looked at her watch. "I can't believe i'm late again. He's going to kill me."

She yanked on her black wool trenchcoat as she left her room, then stuffed her burgundy-dyed curls under a matching beret.

She took a deep breath and tried to ignore the way her heart was pounding with every step she took.

She darted out of her room and ran down the hallways ignoring everyone that tried to talk to her.

Bursting outside of the apartment building she feverishly glanced around. In what seemed like an unsettling pause, the streets were unusually quiet and the fog was especially heavy like an eerie blanket upon the earth. And in that moment she became so paralyzed with fear like a lost child..."I could throw away that bus ticket now," she thought to herself. "Forget it all...and just maybe fate won't be able to find me if I start heading in the opposite direction.."

She shook her head "No, I'm tired of running away". The bus pulled up, the screeching of the brakes made her wince. Its now or never. She got onto the bus, the old smell of leather and perfume filled her head. As she sat down, she glanced out the tinted window into the fog. Would this be the last time she would see home?

The bus rattled onwards in the way only London red buses could. Tara sighed as her stop hovered into view, she could just ride this bus until the end, and not get off. But her feet carried her out into the fog of the suburban street. She tugged a pair of woolen gloves from her pocket and put them on despite the fact that Alex's place was only a coupld of streets away.

Tara thought about the telephone conversation she and Alex had the previous night. A single, unexpected tear fell from her eyes and she quickly wiped it away.

She didn't mean to get this involed. It was supposed to just be fun.

In what seemed like it was all too soon...she arrived at her destination. Just a block from the bus stop was the cemetary. With shaking hands, she fished deep into her purse, searching for the note he had left her. He had drawn a layout of the cemetary in a rather crude and hurried fashion...Futhermore, the way the trees and fog enveloped the land promised her a most eerie quest.

She walked slowly at first. The cobblestones rattling under her feet. Her pace quickened as the fog grew thicker and thicker. Suddenly the fog cleared, and the sun shown down on her face. Looking down she saw a headstone reading "Alex Vorobits, 1932-1984. In Loving Memory Of..." She wept as she collapsed.

"No... how the... what... I don't understand!" She shoved a gloved hand across her face roughly, wiping away tears that were practically frozen to her cheeks.

She jumped as a hand fell on her shoulder.
" Do you have it?" The man asked?
She tried to contain her tears before turning around.

As she turned around, the tall figure backed away from her. "Yes, I have it." She handed over the small envelope filled with a most peculiar item.

She wanted to back away. Run, her brain screamed at her. But she felt rooted to the spot as the man slowly slit open the envelope, and tipped its contents into his hand.

She gazed into his eyes, noticing for the first time a dullness darkening the green-gray color. "Yes. Give it to me."

He reached into his coat pocket, and pulled out the object of her obsession.
"Yes!" She screamed in joy. She grabbed the 32nd Deluxe Mystery Date Barbie from his hand. She gazed at its prestine condidition, never opened! "My daughter will love this!"
"Sure thing lady" The delivery man turned to walk away.

Tara opened her eyes. "What a weird dream that was..." She thought about it a bit longer then looked over at her boyfriend Alex laying in bed next to her.

Alex murmered something in his sleep, "Don't wake the hippo's...mmmmhmmm...we love all the girls..." and rolled over.

Little did she know, that she and Alex were having the same exact dream. She woke up right before the narcoleptic hippos broke out of the zoo across the street from the cemetary.

She watched his face twist slightly, as though he had bitten into an even-more-sour-than-usual lemon.

Suddenly, he woke up..startled while tiny beads of sweat glistened on his brow. His azure eyes stood out amidst his face like two bright drops of paint on a blank canvas. Then, as he stared off into space his face slowly contorted into a picture of utter grief. He covered his face with his hands, and wept softly. She tried to comfort him by putting her hand on his shoulder...yet as if her hand was ice he jerked away and jumped out of bed. She looked on in disbelief as he got ready for college without ever acknowledging his fiancee.
Their relationship had been this way for a couple weeks now. It was if a brick wall had been put up between them. Before she had been used to problems communicating..Men never do get too excited about talking. Though now, it was serious. The only thought she could gather from him lied in his paintings...and surprisingly so, now which were portraits of her.
A frenzy of thoughts were racing inside her head. 'He won't talk to me anymore...Yet he wants to paint me?? What could make him deviate from his love of exotic landscapes?'
Furthermore, the dream had left her with an uneasy feeling. And the only thing she could gather from its nonsensical events was the first date on the headstone...1932.
It wasn't a date. Alex was born in '78.
Yet it was an address. And it was theirs..
