quick question...if you were 21-22 and you were a girl in college, working at an apt complex, and a decent to good looking guy came up and tried small chat with you and then asked you to out to get coffee sometime, would you say yes, without having an extensive conversation background with him?

It's really hard not to be an ass when it comes to questions like these. I mean, seriosly; do you expect us to answer for someone else? If you can't predict what her answer would be, and you have presumably met her, then how do you expect US to give an answer?

Depends who he was. If it was the first time he'd ever spoken to me then no probably not. He could be a complete nut job regardless of how good looking he is.
If I knew him vaguely (like friend of a friend) even if I hadn't spoken to him then maybe.

You have to understand that a girl has to be more guarded than that. She might be flattered, but if she's got any sense at all, she'll say no, and have her hand in her purse, reaching for her can of mace, just in case she needs it. Not saying you're a bad guy, you're probably very nice, but girls, in the name of self-preservation, cannot take up with strangers they meet on the street.
That's just the kind of world we live in, unfortunately.
