I have just finished seeing Kill Bill Volume 2.

After the first one, I thought it was great because it was so bad ass, it was just an in your face, cool action flick, classic Tarintino. But this second one left me speechless. I dont think Ive been this awe in a complete film since I first saw Pulp Fiction. Its just a cool cool great move.

The dialog in the second movie is the best ive seen in years. YEARS. Everything from the conversation between Budd (Micheal Madsen) and Bill (David Carradine) Is just one of the best. Madsen is one of the most under-rated actors in holywood today, and this movie shows off how he can be such a bad ass one second, and a somewhat regular nice guy the next. Amazing.

And David Carradine? Wow. How can this guy not be concidered for an Oscar for that performance? I couldnt take my eyes off him when he was on screen. His voice is just hypnotic, that combined with the writing of Quintin Tarintino (who is without a doubt in my opinion the most talented person in Movies today) It was perfect. I dont see how he could not get Best Supporting Actor.

Ever notice the knack Quintin has for getting some what has-beens and making them super cool again. John Travolta. Travolta was going NOWHERE after his 70s movies. Quintin cast him, he got nominated for Best Supporting Actor. (He started Samual L. Jacksons career really as well) And now we have Carradine, I really hope he gets some more roles because of this now because he deserves to get out of the shadow of 'Kung-Fu'

One thing I loved about the movie is how he didnt subtitle Pai Mai's speech. I mean really.. you dont need to understand it to understand what is going on. I love how he doesnt dumb it down.

So now that its all out on DVD and more people have seen the complete version.. thoughts?

I cant wait for Quintin's next movie. Dont say Hero, because all he did was edit it really. His next one is a World War II movie called Inglorious Bastards. :)

Quintin and World War 2? Oh Baby!

I loved this movie. I won't say that its better then the first..cause you can't forget Umma fighting the 88 dudes or the brutally awesome anime sequence in the first...but KB2 is just as good. And a lot less bloody, though easily darker then the first...Watching 'The Bride' escape from her own coffin after the flashbacks she had of her time with Pai Mei(and Gordon Liu was awesome with his flowing beard and all) was a high point in the movie. I especially enjoyed what happened to Daryl Hannah's ruthless samurai assassin....that was defintely a fate worse then death lol.:P

It was extremely far-fetched(oh well lol) how Bill dies in the end...but Thurman and Carradine's excellent acting definetely made up for the sillyness. On the whole, it was definetely a kick-ass movie. Very stylish. And I hope that the 2nd one won't be snubbed at the Oscars next year just cause its a sequel.

I just finished watched the second Kill Bill last night. For the most part I thought it was a pretty kick ass movie....UNTIL..... the ending... I hated how they sat and chatted forever.... and by the way... TRUTH SYRUM?!?!?! I'm so sure, that was a little too cheesy and over the top for me

Actually, chemicals like that have been used since the cold war. Or so called Truth syrums, Basically they just dope you up to a point where you dont know HOW to lie.

Sodium pentathol.
Not a "truth serum" per se, but it's classed as a hypnotic.

What it does is makes you groggy and VERY open to suggestion

I hated the first one. Didn't see what all the fuss was about. The fight scenes were pointless and way too long. I don't watch movies for fight scenes, I watch them for plot, and fight scenes can support plot. They didn't do that very well in Vol. 1. There were just too many, and they lasted too long. By the end, I was really glad it was over. Also, I don't like Uma Thurman very much. But, since everyone thinks the second one is so good, and different from the first, I might rent it. Maybe.
