This is the movie that was brought over to America by Quentin Tarantino starring Jet Li. The movie originally came out two years ago in China and was such a success over there, Quentin wanted in on the action. I saw the movie in June and thought it was an amazing film. It's by far the most colorful movie I've ever seen, the fighting is extraordinary and the plot is far from a normal action film, let alone an asian fighting film...I definitely recommend this movie..Here's a trailer to check it out.

I saw it on subtitled DVD and I have to say it's a pretty good film. Better than anything I've seen lately (besides Donnie Darko). Although on my VCD copy, Tin Xia (Our Land) was not translated into, "Our Land" but rather, "The World". I've read that it's suppose to mean "All Under Heaven" or "Under Heaven" in chinese, though. Gotta love the color themes. They mean different things. Check IMDB's Hero Trivia to see what they each stand for. Love the fighting and historical backgrounds of the story. I'm guessing not many American viewers (or non-asian :) ) got what the story was about because of the misleading trailer (which was crap by the way) and they might of thought it was a copy cat Crouching... rip off, which it is not. The story is completely the opposite.

But overall, I'd give it a 4.5 our of 5. Good cinematics, usage of colors, and a great story.
