So in my psych class this morning I was doodling a ton of weird animals/not-animals/animal-other thing-hybrids, and somewhere in the middle decided to scan them into Photoshop and use them to make a new tag set.

So I did.

I really like the avatar, but the tag isn't quite up to my satisfaction.. mybe I'll play with it more tomorrow. It just seems too busy, and you can't really see enough detail on some of the sketches as I'd like. I'm thinking of redrawing the dromedary goat (blue, far left) and the abominable bug-bat (center, greenish tone) because their mouths full of fangs look funny when filled in with color. Plus the bird feet (red, right) need to be moved up so you can see what they are. Blah, I'll just call it a work in progress until I fix it up tomorrow when I'm not feeling so burnt-out.

But yeah, just thought I'd share.

Oh, and be kind, Im still just learning the basics of PS, which I'm sure is evident. :shifty:

I agree on all counts. The avatar is wonderful! Very cute. You do need to do something about those fangs (I wouldn't have known that was what they were if you hadn't told me ;)), and you should try to do something to antialias the edges of the sketches so they don't look so hard, but other than that it's great. I love the concepts and colour scheme, and the background fits perfectly. Although, since you think the tag is too busy, you could try decreasing the contrast in the background to bring the focus to the subjects. The level of contrast in the avatar seems just right.
