how do you make movies?

yea, does anyone know what software and stuff you need to make those kewl micromedia flash movies? I want to start a website and promote this little cartoon i've been keeping in my back-pocket, but i dont know nothing bout this flashplayer stuff. Anyone know?

My brother uses Macromedia Flash. Simple enough =). You can find books about it all over, and I am sure there are online tutorials.

If you want to edit videos (and not flash format), use virtual dub (vdub).

funny... I'm having trouble with VirtualDub. I can't seem to get the video from the digicamcorder to the computer with that program... though i can with the video editer that comes with Windows XP (but fuckign sucks... for some reason, the video on the computer is twice as dark as the one on my camcorder... I lose all the pretty colour.)

We'll if you want Macromedia Flash it's rather expensive, somewhere around $500.00 U.S. I think, but I have a copy of Flash MX and didn't cost me well, anything ;) Of course I have no idea how to use it lol.

well... I just bought some video editing software for $80. we'll see how it goes. The choice was between that, some $15 piece of shit that you buy for your 8-year-old, another one that was $100, and another that was $515.
