Is there any one movie that no matter HOW many times you watch it, you always get a little teary and sniffly when parts of it come on?
For example, every time I watch Independance Day, I always get a ittle teary when the president gives his inspirational speech to the soldiers. I mean, I'm not American, and certainly not patriotic about America, but it's such a moving speech and I always cry.

Really? That doesn't bode well for you...
For me, it's the end of Requiem for a Dream. Extremely hard to take. On the opposite side of the tracks, Finding Nemo always makes me cry, at the beginning and end. It's an amazing, powerful film, with so much beauty; "When I look at you, I'm home."
And then, of course, Alien vs Predator. :( Someone save me from the dreadfulness!! :P

I would have to say Dead Poets Society, Braveheart, and Lost in Translation are three of my top tear-jerkers. The endings of all of these are very sad in their own way.
As for Requiem, that movie just makes me utterly and completely depressed. I try not to watch it too often.

Return of the King, when Frodo realizes that Gandalf is still alive, all Ian McKellan right there. Braveheart, Blow, Road to perdition, True Romance are good too!

Dead Poets Society--at the end when they all get up on their chairs
Beaches--when the character played by Barbara Hershey dies, and you see her daughter sitting all alone at her funeral
Forrest Gump--when Forrest is talking to Jenny's grave
Patch Adams--when Patch is talking to Corrine's grave
Oh, I know there are more, but those are the ones I can think of right now.

I like this... you don't cry because of the death... but because of the life. I find that an extremely moving part of the movie as well. and on a random side note, I like how they do that scene so similarly to when Frodo wakes up in The House of Elrond.

The Notebook! But it rocks. I love it. Umm The Friends Series Finale, that doesn't count but I have the DVD and have seen it a million times...every time I cry like crazy. A Walk to Remember used to but now I laugh. Haha I've seen it too much.

I'm normally not a cryer when it comes to movies but The Fox and the Hound always get to me. It's probably because i'm such an animal person.

In RotK, when Sam and Frodo are going up Mount Doom, and Sam talks to Frodo about The Shire..then he carries him the rest of the way. That's emotional stuff there.:P I love that scene. Another sad scene was when Frodo said goodbye to everyone before he went on the ship to leave middle earth. It wasn't sad in a tragic way, it just made me teary-eyed.
like already said, Forrest Gump..where Forrest is talking to Jenny at her grave. The first time I saw that I cried right along with him.
Saving Private Ryan...the scene where Matt Damon(private ryan) watches Tom Hanks die on that bridge...it was intense.
Schindler's List....This movie is such a masterpiece. Honestly I don't know how this movie can be left out. In the end when Schindler is open about the fact that he wants to save lives, and then he does save over 1000 of them...the farewell scene in which he breaks down in tears is bittersweet and unforgettable. And just the same is when they show the actual survivors in the very end...visiting Schindler's grave. It may very well be the most heart-wrenching film I've ever watched. Which is why I've only seen it a few times because its certainly not easy to watch, ya know. But everyone should, imo.
The Sixth Sense. Some of you may laugh...but in the very end after Willis discovered the revelation that was his 'life'..he said a few words to his wife and then said goodbye....I honestly don't think that Shyamalan will ever be able to top that ending(or that movie). The surprise and emotion of it still moves me to this day, about 100 viewings later.:P
West Side Story. I'm not big on musicals...but if you've seen this movie then you should know what scene I'm talking about. Its in the end of the movie..*sniff*
E.T. ..This is just a very moving film on the whole..and I think its flawless in all of its magic. The ending has a great emotional climax that'll never lose its impact, I think.
Near the end of Jerry Maquire. At the scene where Cruise comes back home to his wife and confesses his love for her in front of a group of men bashing women.:P Great scene there.
Hmm..maybe I'll think of more later.

The Lion King - right when Simba's father dies, and little baby simba is nudging his paw and going 'dad wake up'. I'm pathetic I know but it always kills me.
Ghost - At the end when Demi Moore can see him and then he goes off into the light.

I'm really not sure if there isn't a touching movie that I wouldn't cry at. Hell I get teary eyed over sappy commericals. I know it's against the rules, but I really gotta say a tv show, but not the whole show. The last episode of boy meets world. I loved that show, and I always bawl when I see the last episode.

Been on vacation for 2 weeks so I missed all these posts lol. But I'll add mine.
Glory, everytime the ending gets me. Why? I was born in raised in the heart of New England, land of the Union forces and the area of the nation I like to think of as the most progressive in race relations. I love this land more then anything and I believe the Union had the true moral justification in that war. Many people say the war was about more then slavery and that is true, but you cannot deny that slavery was a major issue. The black regiment raised in the movie came from my dad's hometown of Springfield Massachusetts so I even feel I have more of a connection to the characters and concept of this movie. The fact that this is also based on the actual events makes it have even more impact. I cry because of so many reasons in this movie. Those men are so brave, willingly going straight into there own deaths for what? To prove that black soldiers can be just as brave and just as patriotic as any white soldier. To prove that they can do anything no matter how high the difficulty or risk, and though they will fall, they will not be forgotten. When the soldiers march through the lines of cheering Union soldiers it just hits me. Then they storm the fort, falling everywhere, fighting for a world they can only dream of, a world they only hope can exist. There leader Shaw out in front is gunned down bravely trying to lead the charge. And the men rally into the fort, fighting as hard as they can only to be all killed.
Then the scene cuts to the bodies being tossed in a mass grave, the black soldiers with there white officers all the same, all wearing Union blue, dead fighting for a better world, a world where racial equality is still a dream but just might exist some day if in fact the Union does win. Then we are greeted with a statue of the soldiers that I have seen in real life along with beautiful music. Makes me cry everytime, and it makes me love the north even more then I ever did before. More then just the scenes of the movie run through my head as I watch this, the entire concept of what my area of the country stood and still stands for flows through me when I see this film. It reminds me how lucky I am to live here, and how proud I am of my fellow New Englanders and Northerners.

the end of Requiem For A Dream is rather powerful. i can't even hear the song (which is actually also on the soundtrack for LOTR) without crying.
the other one that always gets me is Pokemon: The First Movie. i can't help it. it's so sad, then so happy.

Braveheart, both when William Wallace's wife's throat is cut, and when Wallace is being tortured by the English. Damnable English.

i dont cry much, rarely ever do, and i dont recall when ive cried for a movie... because real life is always much worse. and if im close to tearing up for a movie, its because of the hauntin reminder.
for example, in mummy returns when anck-sunamun kills evy. evy so happy one moment and then suddenly shes fading and she dies in his arms. for me thats, comes too real.
