Okay so I'll welcome myself then.:P Hello all writers and poets out there. Henceforth I will be replacing BabyDiva as your WotW moderator.

Hopefully everyone knows who I am because I've been lurking around here since October of 2000. I was the previous WotW mod before BabyDiva(a great gal btw). So I'm not exactly new. So if anyone ever has any questions, concerns, suggestions, etc..then don't hesitate to pm me about it.

And so now I'm going to go over some forum rules. Its just to jog your memory so we can keep WotW a positive and productive forum. I'll reiterate a lot of what's been said before...

1. Constructive Criticism Only. There will be no bashing and no flame wars. There will be zero tolerance when it comes to This is directly especially at poetry. Respect poetic license. Give helpful feedback. Everyone writes differently and everyone has a different level of experience in writing, so I don't
want to see any rude remarks. And on the same token, know how to accept constructive criticism.

2. Please Give Feedback. When making a thread of your own I ask that you try to reply to another. This gets things circulating and promotes more traffic for WotW. It'll truly benefit this place to have everyone practice this.

3. Don't Abuse Poetic Licence. This usually isn't a problem. Just make sure that if you do use profanity or explicit words then use them to only enhance what you've wrote. There are some younger members at this site so its left to my discretion to close whatever I see fit to. More then likely I'll give you a warning first in a post or pm. Like I said though, this usually isn't a problem.

And having said all that..Have fun and relax. Show us what a great imagination you have. And feel free to vent to your heart's content.

Keep Writing! :cool2:

Does anybody find it troubling that the first thing the new mod of a "Creative" forum gives us is RULES?

Its like;"Be artistic, be FREE.......but only like this....."

Just an observation. :)

Nurseman,
I'd like to see you going away in a hearse van,
For you now discredit the rules
though you claim to once have made young ladies drool
i would like to use profanity
though Asphodelle would be on me like Sean Hannity
on a liberal
or her baby when it dribbles
Nurseman,
I'd like to see you going away in a hearse van

Silly Nurseman. :p This thread is OLD.

There's barely any rules here. Profanity is fine with a purpose. Everyone needs to swear to express themself at some point in the day. But just because 'fuck' rhymes with 'duck' doesn't mean that it would make a good poem.

Have fun and be free in your poetic universe. And nice one, oceanlake.:)

When I first arrived, I didn't see
That this thread was almost as old as me.
Dear Lady, I hope you will endeavor
To forgive my poor attempt to be clever.
My rhymes are bad, my verse is worse.
But I ain't ridin' in no van-hearse.
