Enveloped in the
hungry-
wide-eyed
autumn morning
You cast your spell upon my heart,
And soul.
I sought you for moments after this,
For- like a brief kiss
You were swept away.
All my hopes
And dreams
were swallowed,
and for that moment-
It hurt to look
Up-
for your presence, was absent.
But with a blink of an eye,
You were gone-
In your whole
being,
Non-existent.

Note from the author : In case you don't get this poem, its talking about infatuation, you know, when you catch a glimpse of someone, and in that brief moment, you are drunk with " love at first sight " and then it gradually fades. Just a random poem. It happens to all of us.

Even though this style of poem doesn't often have a sense of rhythm that's easy to pick up on, I could figure out the flow in yours. I think what makes this poem is the hyperbole and exaggeration - everything was swallowed, you were non-existent, etc. Lends the sense of drama that this needs. Good work, IMHO!
