Any gamers out there? :coo:
What are you playing right now? Have any favorites? Console or computer? Remember what first got you into gaming?
I used to be really into console gaming, my favorites having been the PS1 and PS2. I find it harder to focus on consoles these days though since I'm always on my computer instead. So I've mostly been playing WoW for over 2 years now with a few breaks here and there although I really like Plants Versus Zombies... >.>
I think I started when I was about 6. My Mom bought me a NES and eventually we (my brother and I) got a SNES, Sega Genesis, etc.. I don't think the Genesis ever caught on with us quite as much as the NES and SNES did, though. I still miss a lot of those older games...

Nice, are there many games out for the 3DS yet? I didn't even know it existed until a friend of mine called me up to his room to show me. xD

Yeah, there's a few games. Mario Kart just came out. There's a Zelda, a Street Fighter, hmmm.... Pilot Wings was on BestBuy.com for $5, but I passed it up.
We had a crazy snowstorm just before Halloween. Power went out, and with it, the heat. Being in a hotel for a few nights made me go out and buy the 3ds. :)

Stupid boyfriend got stupid me stupidly hooked on stupid WoW. I don't raid, though. I like doing the quests. That's more like a personal RPG. Screw the other people! He raids, though, which takes up a LOT of time. Except that, it doesn't so much anymore, because his guild is such crap that no one shows up. So instead of raiding for four hours, he sits there and yells at his friends on VENT about how no one shows up anymore, and isn't such-and-such a guy such an asshole. GOD I hate Tuesday nights!

Aww, poor kuju! >:D< (That was supposed to be a hug...)
I raided at the end of Wrath but my guild was run by a group of RL friends who fought a lot and we kept picking up really bitchy members who just made it even worse. By the end of Wrath, I wasn't feeling raiding so much. =/ I switched my focus over to PvP and eventually moved to a PvP server to try to find some people who are at least somewhat competent...
Which server you on? I'm on Tichondrius at the moment.

Started with consoles
then Diablo 2 got me into computer gaming
the command and conquer series for about a year
then world of warcraft for a couple of years which carried me though school
then rift for a few months leading one of the top clans in the game :p
A good break from gaming
Now I'm playing starwars mmorpg like theirs no tomorrow :p

I love PvP, I'm practically addicted. =D
But I've leveled a lot of alts, too. I have like...4 at 85? And like 3 or 4 more at 80 that I just never got into. And almost have another at 85. I'd probably have more if I stopped dropping characters in their 60's. :lol3:
@Ben - So do you like SWTOR more than WoW? :o

I like Swtor better then wow as it is now. I racked up around 4000+ hours playing wow from first release to the "the burning crusade" which completely put me off the game.
StarWars is just different... I've spent around 24 hours playing so far and it just feels so Lonely. I've hit level 12, It's all instanced so you barely bump into other players... Unless you enter the pvp grounds then its like wow but with guns. from what i can tell sofar its like a online single player game with a few online features. The world just feels really fake and outdated...
It's still early days yet though, I'm willing to play until they show what direction their going with it :/
Nothing can compare to vanilla wow. :

Every time anyone starts a gaming thread it always ends up being 24 pages of WoW commentary.
I used to be a huge gamer. My parents bought me an NES when I was 3 years old because my uncle had one, and he was getting pissed off that I was better at all his games. He didn't even know Tetris went past level 9 until I was playing and got to level 12 or so, and his ego didn't feel too good after being schooled by a 3-year old. :)
Since then I've always been a HUGE console gamer - in my house we had every console from every generation, but my favourite era was the SNES, with tons of great platformers and RPGs - but I never got into PC gaming much. In the 90s I was pretty big into point-and-click adventure games (anything made by Sierra, or the LucasArts Monkey Island games) but that's about it.
Even though I still end up getting every console of every generation (i.e. I currently have a PS3, XBox 360 and Wii), I almost never game.
Part of it is that I just don't have the time, but a lot of it has to do with the fact that the type of games that are popular now don't really appeal to me. I've never been an FPS guy and can't get into Halo/CoD/Battlefield/whatever at all.
In fact, the last game I played that I truly enjoyed was an XBLA title called Bastion, which is basically a hack 'n' slash Zelda-type game. I highly recommend it if anyone is looking for something easy to pick up and play - I think it's available on PC as well.

I'm on Dalvengyr: the crappiest realm around! Seriously, like NO ONE is on that realm.
And you always drop alts at level 60 because it's repeated content. lol.

I got into gaming when I was around 7, with Final Fantasy VII. I continued with those (VIII, IX, X, etc) on the PSX/PS2 whilst also being into some PC games like Diablo 2, Doom, Monkey Island - stuff like that.
Eventually moved onto things like Fable, GTA, KH, Time Splitters, some DS games and more recently, L.A. Noire for the xBox-360 (most recently played). I've also got a 3DS that I play Nintendogs + Cats and Zelda: OoT on.
Never been too much of a fan of MMO's, though I've tried a few and they're fun, but I'm much more of a solo player and I always find a few of 'em require you to have help from others and such..

Played WoW right after BC came out, up until six months after Cataclysm released. I have a good friend from No Ireland who always made fun of me for it, and just the other day he told me he started a trial account and wanted me to join up until level 20. I thought I'd get addicted again... but I just found it incredibly boring. I really enjoyed raiding and the social aspect of it, and my WoW friends were freaking awesome. I just grew out of it.
Although, I'm LOVING Skyrim. I'm also obsessed with watching game play videos of Amnesia: The Dark Descent (http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/zero-punctuation/2092-Amnesia-The-Dark-Descent). I put on a video from Youtube all the time, and love watching Morfar or Pewdiepie play. Ah, Swedish men. <3

@Carnation
A friend of mine has that game, Amnesia, but I've never tried it. I keep hearing about it, though. My brother plays Skyrim but I don't have the attention span for getting past the first part...I spaced out during a section where you are being instructed to sneak past some mob. I didn't hear what the NPC said so I turned to my brother and asked, "Wait...do I sneak up and set it on fire?" Which, if you think on it, wouldn't make much sense. =/

Last game I got was WWE '12 and I've been playing Kharma, who I downloaded as part of the Divas package on Xbox Live. She actually lost to my jobber CAW, Lilith. I guess her stats should have been lowered. Anyway, the so-called Predator technology tagline is a lie. WWE '12 is the same as most of the previous SmackDown / Raw titles bar none. You can't seem to get anything online to work.
