What is with the Internal Server Error

What is this all about and why is it showing up every other time I try to move withing the forums?

I have emptied the cache, I have cleared histroy and it just keeps happening.

The message is this:

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@therfs.jaredwsmithholdings.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I'm also guessing that the answer of "We don't have a service agreement with vBB and it's really expensive" still applies that other issues (like the photo album) have received.

But I guess they're going to go after your cats now too!

I've been getting this, too. More often in the morning eastern standard time.

Funny how I got the exact message three times while trying to post this:

I honestly have no clue. It could be:

1) The host we're running on has some issues sometimes (someone else is being malicious and hogging resources)

2) vB is broken somehow

3) Bots are running and slamming us with spammer registrations :lol:

I'm trying to get in touch with Jared to get the account info so I get get on the box and look at the logs and stuff.

I love this place BECAUSE there are no ads. I'd rather have the annoying errors then ads.

we used to have ads, back when Afian was starting and running the site. He made a killing, and the site was poorer for it. We're not here to make money, or make pages take forever to load because of ads.

The truth is, the server error is due to quantum effects that can't be controlled. Sorry.

I'd prefer no ads as well, however if I had a choice, I'd choose pages taking time to load due to ads rather than having to wait 5 minutes to log back in after everytime the error message appeared... which is often. :agree:
