So the man and I have been having problems lately, they are being worked out (thanks to everyone that has given me advise) and I was thinking maybe I should plan a date for him and I.
So this morning a picnic on the beach would be fun, but I'm not sure how a man would feel about that.
So if you could let me know men, that would be great. and any other date idea's would be cool too :)
thanks

Perhaps you should ask him. I really like them, though.

I think picnics are awesome. Especially if you have to cycle to get there or something. Totally great idea.

This is one of the things that I love doing for someone special..
It goes like this.
Usually at a nice spot on a cliff overlookin the ocean just down from where i live. A french stick, some fresh roast chicken, some mango, some strawberries and some dipping chocolate and a some sweet rose wine. Of course some water.
Once eaten, and you polish the wine off, great to lie on your back on the rug and together look at the sky feeling tipsy, holding hands, watching the clouds move. Some quicker, some slower.
And you know at that point there isn't much wrong with the world.

Surfa described exactly what makes picnics awesome. It's so much cheaper, yet so much more amazing than a boring "dinner and movie" date where you get to have an interview-style discussion over dinner, followed by ignoring each other for the movie. :D

Gets my vote too. I was rather pissed off that my girlfriend ditched me before the summer :glare:

The picnic went fantastic yesterday! Weather was beautiful, had the perfect spot on the best lake.
But, we did get in a little tiff later on in the day, he took me home out of no where to go work on a friends car, I told him I was pissed and I knew it wasn't his fault his friends car broke down but I couldn't help but feel that way.
Later that night, I think he had a break through, he called me and said he knew he wasn't the best boyfriend. and I told him it wasn't that he was a bad boyfriend, it was that there really does need to be more communication and I would rather him give me more attention and affection then take me out to do anything.
things are really starting to look up with him and I :)

Yep I agree with everyone else. I love picnics, I have suggested them to past x's many times.
If I find a girl to be in a relationship with (again) then that will be 1 of the 1st things i'll do...
for me the perfect scenario would be:
Down by the river, nice hot day, sitting in the shade with peice and quiet
A nice big bag of fresh bakery cooked pizza, sausage rolls and bacon wraps, with some cakes for after
and most importantly a few bottles of ale :D (although if the girl is really worth it I would maybe compromise and share a bottle of wine)
yumm

Roasted a chicken, made guacamole, potato salad, even made brownies for desert.
