I was just wondering... who does the coding/layout for these forums? As much as I like the functionality of the forums right now, I was thinking maybe we could change the colours around a bit - add a bit of flair with a different banner? I'm not talking about full-on PINK, RED, AND GLITTERY hearts and cupids - but maybe something more indicative that we're a relationship forum. We can choose colours that appeal to both genders. :)

I don't mind it so much now... but these forums are quite reminescent of other forums that are just starting out and still look rather like the default setting - while I know we're rather established.

Actually, the point of the generic look is that we DON'T look like a relationship forum. So as long as you're not at the top of the page with THE RELATIONSHIP FORUMS right there, no one looking over your shoulder at your computer would ever know!

Sorry, Blossoms:

Personally I hate unnessary clutter and like the colours as is.. Very easy on the eyes.

meh. i generally do the layout coding. this one was a purchased theme, not a default one.
as kuju said, most of our users prefer not blatantly telling anyone that can see over their shoulder that they're on a relationship forum.

HOWEVER.

saying that, if i get some time next month I may code some more layouts. this is kinda due to me needing to do some work on the backend anyway, so should be able to slip a few things in.

Consider this post the obligatory "puke" request that comes up at least once every time a layout rehashing is mentioned. :)

For those of you who haven't been here for ten years - this (http://web.archive.org/web/20001019064304/www.adolescentadulthood.com/2/ubbcgi/Ultimate.cgi) is what we're nostalgic about.

How far off are we from the Pink poker dot decor?

Ah, alright... fair enough. :) I also don't want people looking over my shoulder. I was just thinking that a dark royal blue, and a cherry red would look pretty nice. I've peeked at other romance forums and some of them are so blatantly Valentine-y it scares me. Once people have a good look around here, it's pretty obvious we're not just a starting forum.

RICE DADDY!!!!!

Hehe yeah, I'm definitely not a fan of clutter and flamboyance. If I'm somewhere I need to read, it needs to be nice on the eyes. I'd almost prefer white text on a black background, but this isn't so bad. The only thing I HATE HATE HATE about the current layout is the gold. So blingy. I've actually been thinking about writing a greasemonkey script to change that to something nicer on the eyes just for me.

Yes, those were the days... the average age of a forum member was about 15 years old and all the guys wanted to know how to hide their erections from their girlfriends and all the girls wanted to know how to make kissing more exciting with games and candies. At least that's what it seemed like.

Also, there was this strange advice going around a lot about oral sex and fizzy candies that really seemed to be just asking for a yeast infection.

Mr. Mod was a close personal friend. I cried a bit at his funeral.

Hmmm... I can't imagine being part of a forum for as long as you guys have. Mainly because most of the ones I've been part of died after a few years.
