'To Say Goodbye'

To say goodbye
Always has that sense of finality
Sounding like its forever
Not knowing how long I must wait
Till again we’re together

Its that inevitable piece
Of time I always dread
When I’ll have to let you go
And turn away to face the world
Then I let my sorrow show

Still so ripped apart now
I try to make the best of things
Daily motions that I go through
But a sad song keeps on singing
Love is missing without you

We already said goodbye
And now I choke back the tears
And I’ll succumb to despair
Not knowing what to do
When you won’t let me be there
Like you always were for me
But now I have no use
And my purpose is gone
Away now with my heart
As my soul trudges on.

You kinda achived the kind of poem I've been trying to write lately with the whole losing someone but wanting them but through impossible circumstances.

But just doing what you can with the time between now and then, I really like what you've written here, very meaningful.
