Sexual addiction

Does anyone here ever think they might possibly be 'addicted' to sex?
Like, just feel that you can't go very long without it or whatever, to the point where it could be a problem? Ever skip class or do anything to go be with the person you're intimate with, when you KNOW you should be doing something else?
Just wondering.... not that this pertains to me in any way. I can quit any time I want to, see, yeah...

What are the signs, anyway, of sexual addiction?

I think you could be addicted to it, if you can't behave normal without it. If you go nuts if you don't have sex like say at least every day you should consider yourself addicted.

In real life I don't think there is something like it. Maybe if you are in a pretty hormone rich time of your life you could be very horny all the time but don't think this means you just can't go without. You don't get sick if you don't have sex, you will be horny like hell but again, who isn't. It's all just nature I think.

I could very easily be addicted I think, but I can live without it(I did before for over a year)..Its all a matter of willpower...I think that if I don't keep myself busy I find myself thinking about it...but, naaaw I'm not addicted. :P

My big sister's friend was diagnosed with a sex addiction. He'd cut his penis and it wouldn't heal so he went to see the doc. The doc said that if he stopped having sex for a few weeks it'd heal, but the guy freaked at this suggestion, so the doc gave him a questionnaire to fill in and then told him that his replys suggested that he was a sex addict. So there ya go ;)

I'm just going to avoid the whole "cut penis" topic because that sounds real dodgy ...

I really like sex. And when I go without for long periods of time, it does affect me. However am not so addicted to it that I would resort to any irrational behaviour, or go to great lengths to get sex. Hey I'm human and I like sex. I wouldn't say I'm addicted. ALTHOUGH I think that once you've had sex, it does become addictive, and I have had sex in high-risk situations simply because I wanted it NOW.

But, no I'm not addicted. I think. :wink:

I think what you're getting at is a 'condition' called nymphomania =0) IIIIiii think it would be quite easy to become entirely addicted to sex-- but others would disagree. There's some good information on the net *s*

the key question, in this matter, is:

is your need to have sex (or if you're a pale friendless virgin, masturbate) all the time interfering with other possibly more important parts of your life?

i.e., are you skipping social activities, not studying, not talking to people, not going to class, not going to work, and so on.
