I have a friend who is 17 and she is very pretty, we live in diff cities but we are good friends on a talking level, we trust each other with everything.
So one night she tells me that she met a guy from her school who was on the football or basketball team, 6ft guy, she is 5'4. Anyways he picked her up and they kissed then she started backing off and lo and behold he raped her for two hours holding her down the whole time. She then kicked him in head somehow and escaped and ran home and told her brother, who DID NOT TELL parents but the next day went and broke the guys nose, and thats all that ever happened to that guy. This was her first time, if you could call it that, she was a virgin before this.
So this happened three months ago she tells me, and when she tells me her brother did not tell her parents at all it upset me because I think he failed her, she did tell someone and that someone did not do what he should have, yes he broke the guys nose, but he should have told parents so as to get him on sex offender list and all that, but he didn't.
The prob is they are both young and thats why they didn't tell parents, they did not understand that this wouldn't just go away if they hid it, and now she is massively depressed and all, and that guy got off scot clean, raped a virgin 17 year old girl and all he got in return was a broken nose.
Well besides her brother i'm the only one she told this, and I essentially got her to the point where she realized this would consume her for the rest of her life if she didn't tell, and that she unlike many rape victims knew the guy and could have justice done, so she must not deny herself this for rest of life. So anyways she told her parents, after I told her she might have been raped because some other girl didn't tell, and now she wasn't going to tell, so he might get another girl, I think that did it.
Like I worry tho because, I think I got to involved, I mean her dad is a powerfull guy, he runs a major company where I live and they are rich, like 6+ homes rich. What if he looks up the texts that we sent for last few weeks? What if he finds out about the fact that she trusted me with this over her own parents? I don't know, perhaps I should have stayed out of it.
But okay like i wanted to ask, is the three months to late for a rape victim to prove it? cuzz like her bruises and stuff are gone, but her brother knows and could give an account of it all, because he beat the guy up, and so its not like this would be impossible to prove it happened? Will the kid crack once he is interogated or whatever? the kid that did it is only 18 now, and goes to her school still.
