How soon for pregnancy tests

How soon after possible conception is it safe to take a Home Pregnancy Test? I was reading the instructions, and it said as soon as your first missed period, or at least 19 days after possible conception, but I always thought you could take them sooner. Anyone know anything about this?

If it says 19 days on the package, then 19 days it is. I've heard of pregnancy tests from 14 days (2 weeks), I think, but no less than that.

what the package says, you do have to wait, because what those pregnacy tests do is detect hormones that are only released when ur pregnant and it takes time for this to happen, so ur just gonna have to wait

actually, I just read about this in the new Cosmo. (assuming cosmo info is right, which I rahter doubt at times) They said wait four days after your period was SUPPOSED to arrive. and then take another one a week and a half later to confirm.
