Speaking of safety.......

It's starting to get chilly here in southeast Virginia, so last night I decided to fire-up the old kerosene heater.

Just in case, I got out a BIG fire extinguisher I have and set it on the floor nearby. Good place to have it if there was an accident.

Lighting the heater went off without a hitch. No worries. Stayed nice and cozy all night.

This morning I get up to go to work. Stumble out of bed. Head for the bathroom.......

TRIPPED OVER THE GODDAMN FIRE EXTINGUISHER!!!!

Houses there have no built in furnaces I take it? General overall climate doesn't necesssitate built in heating?

My sisters house has built in gas heaters in it. The weather goes from hot to cold overnight down here, so we don't even bother really with getting the heaters out.
