A tearless cry falls from my eye
a silent sniffle echos
my jar of peanutbutter
has lost its jelly

No more talks of gossip
i have to fix that leaky faucet
the phone don't ring
son of a bitch, the bills weren't paid

Midnight strikes
and the stars are bright
i just shot up
damn that was out of sight

The walls are spinning fast and furious
the colors are fading
the static is buzzing
im so delirious

i already had my coffee
i already had my tea
the walls are still spinning
wild and free

the alarm clock buzzed
loud and surene
my head ached
and my wife screamed

was it a nightmare
or was it real
i fought with the demons
that are sureal

Whoa...what a trippy dream. :o Lots of vivid imagery though I didn't quite understand what was going on..Still I love the line about the 'jar of peanutbutter has lost its jelly'..I don't know why, but that was really cute. :P

*l* thanks :D ..Actually when i first started it, all i had was the line about the peanutbutter and jelly, how i got the rest i dunno *l*..Glad you liked it :D

that was a very trippy poem. the imagery was so good, I thought I was tripped out... Was not to clear on what your poem was representing, I have a good Idea but not quite sure about it. In any case, good work...

has lost its jelly

This line kinda made me think of that peanut butter and jelly combination stuff they sell. Its like someone ate all the jelly out of it. It fits in with the rest of the poem in that you are sort of talking about the hassles of daily life and their effects. I like it.
