View Full Version : Who? Where? and Why not?

Where are you?
Who are you?
I can see you in my future
Brushing your fingertips
Carefully against my cheek

But where are you now
When I need you?

Love has to exist somewhere;
I can't be this naive
But when my heart reaches far
With a thousand narrow tendrils

...Is yours reaching out towards mine, too?

If only I could snatch a moment from the future
Pluck it back a decade or so to the present
And console myself that yes, you, my prince, exists
However distantly

I hardly believe anymore.
It's so easy to abandon hope
When a person hasn't felt tender
Lips against her own... in an entire lifetime

Do my calls go unanswered, unheard
Echoing off the barren rock cliffs?
Or is that your stranded cry for help
I hear faintly in the echo?

Solitude is enough to make a person crazy.
But then again, so is Love.

Or so I'm told.

Where are you!?

...are you?

Who are you!?

...are you?

I'm just so... lonely...

That was really good! I thought it was amazing and when you were talking about fingertips against my cheek, I could almost feel someone touching me.

That's well written, I kind of got an image of a girl trapped down a well which has a cave of water flowing out to a lake or something, and shes just sitting there wondering how to get out...

I know that has nothing 2 do with ur poem but like, it's got the same kind of emotional feel of confusion and cold loninless... I think so anyway :P

Nicely written once again, haven't read many of your poems since u quit being a mod, but they're still very good :).
